Progressive Ag Systems is the insurance agency affiliated with Progressive Ag. Progressive Ag entered the crop insurance industry in 1992, becoming one of the first companies (and still the best) to offer a total risk management approach to production agriculture. Our singular focus is crop insurance and affiliated products, and our business strategy is to be better than anyone else at writing crop insurance. We take great pride in doing the best job of writing crop insurance for our customers. Since 1992, Progressive Ag has been writing crop insurance for farmers in the Upper Midwest, and our combined experience among our agents is over a century (>100 years) of crop insurance excellence. We are aligned with a group of highly qualified agents based throughout North Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, Texas, and South Dakota who write business in more than a dozen states.
Our qualified staff of underwriters and agents insures crops including vegetables like potatoes, sugarbeets, processing beans, sweet corn, and sweet peas as well as the more traditional crops of wheat, corn, and soybeans. Of course, in the northwest corn belt we have a variety of specialty grain crops insured including durum wheat, barley, dry beans (many classes), sunflowers, oats, canola, and transitional and organic varieties of all of the above. We write over 75 written agreements most years to insure crops that RMA-USDA only insures with a written agreement - one of the most complicated underwriting tasks an agency can undertake.
Progressive Ag's legal and technical crop insurance competence shines in a world filled with complicated rules and regulations, and Progressive Ag is overwhelmingly successful in helping growers weed through the red tape to get the insurance coverage they need at a price they can afford.
If you are interested in seeing how Progressive Ag can improve your crop insurance program and risk management, contact Joan at 1-800-450-1404 and be prepared to provide your APH and current schedule of insurance. Typically, we find ways to greatly reduce your risk at equal or less premium, and improve how hard your crop insurance will work for you.
