Ray Grabanski
Ray Grabanski is President of Progressive Ag. Ray designed the export, yield, and price computer models that have been instrumental in making Progressive Ag Marketline, LLC the premiere marketing firm in the US, and he is the lead analyst responsible for making market decisions since the inception of the firm in 1992.
Progressive Ag Systems, the crop insurance arm, is perhaps the largest and fastest growing independent insurance agency in the northern plains, largely due to the innovative methods Ray has used to coordinate crop insurance and marketing into a comprehensive risk management program. Ray has a God-given knack for understanding risk - how to get rid of it - and when to retain some risk it if it is worth the reward.
Ray has both a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Ag Economics from North Dakota State and Iowa State University, and a Juris Doctorate degree Cum Laude from the University of ND Law School in 2013. He has worked as a Farm Management Specialist with the NDSU Extension Service in the early 90’s, as a farm management consultant, and he is a recognized industry leader in risk management methods.
